With the end of the school year quickly approaching, Anderson High School Performing Arts students are springing into a favorite pastime.
With the help of their director of six years, Tiffany Jackson, the group of 12 is putting on a musical, "Schoolhouse Rock Live!"
The show is based on the 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught grammar, math, science and other subjects through songs such as "Do the Circulations" or "A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing."
These songs are pieces much of our audience are familiar with -Dale Perkins

Next month, the Vidalia Onion Committee , a Georgia group that promotes the consumption of sweet onions, will roll out 6-foot cardboard cutouts of the ogre Shrek as a tie-in to the latest film in the series, "Shrek Forever After."
In turn, the Georgia-based growers group hopes the green guy will turn children on to eating Vidalia onions.

Now he'll try to turn around the state's money-losing NBA team by becoming the first ex-player to be a majority owner in the league.
The NBA's Board of Governors on Wednesday unanimously approved Jordan's $275 million bid to buy the Charlotte Bobcats from Bob Johnson.
